Overview

A Director-led consultancy near Cambridge is searching for an experienced, client-facing Senior Project Manager with consultancy experience to lead the delivery of their projects in the Residential, Later Living and Healthcare sectors.

The Company

The Senior Project Manager will join a close-knit consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering schemes in the Residential, Later Living and Healthcare sectors. The role involves running a driven team and managing projects from inception to completion, including new build, refurbishments and extensions with contract values up to £20m.

The Senior Project Manager role

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of multiple projects from start to finish. They will collaborate closely with a team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to ensure projects stay on track for completion. They will report project updates to the Associate Director, Project Director and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Project Management team to drive schemes forward to completion
• Support the Assistant and Project Managers with challenges during project lifecycles
• Report to the Associate Director and Project Director on a weekly basis with project progress
• Run complex projects simultaneously
• Attend regular meetings with clients to discuss project progress
• Ensure all works are compliant with safety and quality standards

Qualifications and experience

• Previous experience working for a construction consultancy
• Knowledge of Residential, Healthcare or Later Living sectors is ideal
• MRICS or MAPM Chartered is preferred
• A relevant BSc/MSc in Construction or related field would be ideal
• Commutable to Cambridge
• Ability to manage schemes simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
