Senior Project Engineer (Software bias)

Full-time - Flexible working Hours

An established engineering business within the rail sector is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex control systems projects across its Rail Systems division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver engineering activities across rail control systems projects
  • Produce specifications, designs, drawings and technical documentation
  • Support and manage technical interfaces with clients and stakeholder
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE, CDM and rail industry standards
  • Support project progress, schedules and technical delivery targets
Skills & Experience
  • Experience delivering rail control systems projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of SCADA, BMS, SISS and/or mobile solutions
  • Experience working to Network Rail, BS, ISO, Safety and CDM standards
  • Ability to lead technical delivery and work autonomously
  • Experience and understanding of C++/Python
  • Experience producing professional technical documentation
Technical Skills (Desirable)
  • Safety Functional / TÜV certification
  • Programming and configuration experience (e.g. Silworx, GX Works, Iconics, HMI)
  • Coding experience (C, Visual Basic, scripting/macros)
  • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and system designs

Hours 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Core hours: Mon-Thurs 09:00-16:00 | Fri 09:00-12:00
