About Redgate

Redgate’s Database Monitoring solution is used by thousands of organisations to manage database performance & availability. In 2024 we began helping customers with important related challenges around database security, and are seeking a Senior Product Manager to help us achieve our long‑term vision & growth in that area.

Location

Cambridge, UK (hybrid model – flexible‑hybrid)

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Manager you will be responsible for growing our presence in the Database Security Monitoring market. You will deeply understand customer & market needs, define strategy, evolve the product, and ensure its successful commercialisation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, defining and executing the product vision and its overall direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evolve the strategy for Redgate’s security monitoring business, including a compelling vision for solving real customer problems and underlying commercial plans.
  • Partner with the Chief Product Officer and Group Product Managers to align product objectives with company direction, taking ownership of initiatives that improve outcomes.
  • Take ownership of commercial outcomes and customer success, proactively identifying and executing ways to improve these.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure complementary added value across the portfolio.
  • Partner with the Product Technical Lead and Designer to deliver a high‑quality, sustainable product roadmap.
  • Partner with the Product Marketing Manager on positioning, pricing, packaging and go‑to‑market plans.
  • Act as a product evangelist, liaising with marketing, sales and finance on key opportunities and go‑to‑market plans to drive commercial success.
  • Develop growth opportunities beyond current markets by constantly exploring new areas for expansion.

  • 90 Days – Fully up and running in your role.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Past experience working with database security or IT security products, with a strong understanding of securing IT environments.
  • Product Management experience, preferably in the B2B Software space, with a track record of tackling complex problems with high autonomy.
  • Customer‑ and commercially‑mindful, providing the best solutions for customers.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to use data for decision‑making.
  • Proven market research, competitive analysis and product strategy skills.
  • Experience working within an agile environment and user‑driven product development.
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills with senior technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High customer empathy and ability to ask the right questions.
  • Mentoring and coaching skills for less experienced colleagues.

Salary & Benefits

£70K – £90K, dependent on experience.
