We currently have a vacancy for the role of Senior Product Manager at our Hitchin site. Reporting to the Business Line Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for product category management within the utilities portfolio of products. This role involves managing three main areas: developing and executing product roadmaps, ownership of strategic initiatives, and supporting the operation of the P&L. The Senior Product Manager will develop business cases where appropriate for decision making and be required to scope, pitch, and report on their execution.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Commercial management of product categories to support geographic and product line growth and profitability.
• Support operational planning, monitoring, and reporting of business performance targets, market analysis, and competitor analysis.
• Build and maintain product roadmaps, including delivering NPD, owning capital expenditure requests, product launches, and ensuring profitability in line with P&L targets.
• Lead voice of customer engagements to validate competitor analysis, market sizes, customer pain points, and technology trends that can be converted into business actions driving growth.
• Support the development, presentation, monitoring, and execution of strategic and operational initiatives in line with planned commitments.
• Identify new opportunities within existing and new markets.
• Monitor and report on market segmentation, customer profiles, and market windows.
• Support the operational planning cycle by converting strategic targets into operational targets for the year.
• Collaborate with commercial, supply chain, and operations teams to complete sales inventory and operations planning regularly.
• Engage with commercial teams to understand regional forecasts and product line performance monthly.
• Identify, scope, and lead regional and customer-specific initiatives to meet planned performance targets.
• Monitor and report on forecasts, pricing, and cost of sales for end-of-month reviews.

The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivalent) in technical and business management subjects, with at least 5 years of experience in Product Management. Project management qualifications and experience are required, along with strategic thinking, analytical skills, and excellent presentation skills. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, with strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
