Senior Procurement Manager - Category Management

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering value, driving efficiency, and leading high‑performing teams? Tarmac is looking for an exceptional Senior Procurement Manager to take ownership of Category Management across our UK operations.

About the Role

As a pivotal leader within our Procurement function, you'll :

• Shape and deliver our Category Management strategy and governance across Tarmac.
• Lead and coach a talented team managing a £500m+ annual spend across UK Logistics, Facilities, Estates, and General Services.
• Spearhead our Fleet Management strategy for cars and vans—enhancing safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to unlock value, foster collaboration, and ensure alignment with the wider CRH global procurement framework.

This role is about more than procurement - it's about transforming how we deliver value to our business and customers.

What You'll Bring

You're a resilient and commercially astute professional who can influence at all levels. You'll bring :

• A track record in category management or strategic procurement, ideally in engineering, fleet, or construction sectors.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a passion for developing talent.
• Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical and problem‑solving excellence, with the confidence to make decisions in complex environments.
• CIPS qualification and a degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master's desirable).
