Job description

A Senior or Principal grade Ornithologist is required to join an award winning ecology team. This role can be based UK wide with remote working options available. You will join an supportive and collaborative team to deliver a range of projects including renewables and wind farm developments.

You will have previous experience delivering similar projects, excellent bird ID skills and be able to demonstrate a range of ornithology surveys techniques, including vista points, black grouse, breeding birds and raptors. You will play a key part in delivering ornithological impact assessments and writing EIA chapters for ornithology.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • A degree in Ecology, Biological Science or similar and CIEEM membership
  • Previous Ornithology experience designing and delivering bird survey programmes
  • Experience with other species would be advantageous (e.g. Bats, habitats, terrestrial mammals)
  • Full UK drivers licence
