We are seeking a proactive, Senior to Principal grade Dams Engineer, ready for the responsibility of complex technical delivery. Your role will involve providing critical technical solutions and advice, ensuring our dams and reservoirs projects meet stringent cost, schedule, and quality standards. This is a senior‑level role that offers significant scope for technical leadership and career advancement within a global firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of dams and reservoirs projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met.
• Provide technical solutions and advice across the project lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their development.
• Play a pivotal role in planning and execution of major UK water projects, such as Cheddar 2 and Coire Glas.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate vision into deliverable plans and designs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Significant civil engineering experience, specifically applied to dam engineering and existing reservoir maintenance.
• Expertise in one or more specialist areas: hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnics, structures, seepage in dam design.
• Degree‑qualified engineer actively working towards, or who has achieved, Chartered status (e.g., ICE).
• Hands‑on experience in dam design and operation, with a proven record of mentoring junior engineers.
• Specialist accreditation such as Supervising Engineer highly valued, but we provide support for professional development.
