Qualifications

  • Full driving license with at least 2 years of experience.

Job description
Senior Practitioner

Location: Inverness, Scotland (Hybrid)
Salary: £23,590 to £25,155 per annum
Hours: 35 per week
Contract: Permanent

Additional Requirements: Applicants must have a full licence (2 years) and access to a vehicle.
Successful candidates will be required to register with the Scottish Social Security Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting.

Do you thrive in a role where no two days are the same? As a Senior Practitioner, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality care and support within a regulated service. Working closely with the Service Manager, you’ll ensure service users receive compassionate, person-centred support while guiding and mentoring staff to grow in their roles. This is your chance to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.

What will a day in the life of a Senior Practitioner involve?
  • Coordinating referrals and liaising with hospitals, GP surgeries, and community teams.
  • Supporting and mentoring staff, students, and volunteers to deliver excellent care.
  • Conducting risk assessments and welfare checks to ensure safe living environments.
  • Managing rotas, responding to out-of-hours queries, and maintaining service continuity.
To be a successful Senior Practitioner, what will you need?
  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and PDA in Supervision (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Experience in person-centred planning and multi-disciplinary working.
  • Confidence in mentoring staff and supporting their ongoing development.
