Position: Senior Portfolio Accountant

Location: Hybrid ( 2 days from London office SW6 2TQ)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Prepare complex reports and plans; including financial reporting, budgeting, work scheduling, workload allocation and performance planning.
  • Have solid experience in preparing year‑end accounts, re‑allocation of costs and all‑round experience forming, reviewing and preparing variances.
  • Have significant experience within an accounting role and a recognised accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, AAT or qualification by experience.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of accounting records of designated portfolios preferably within the property sector or something of a similar nature.
  • Work solely on one large and complex development and oversee the setup of works orders, ensure invoices are coded correctly.
  • Meet regularly with the Client and the Residents Association.
  • Liaise with the client and give monthly overview and effectively close off accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Have good knowledge of accounting systems (Propman software desirable) as well as advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Have experience of the audit process and liaising with external auditors.
  • Prepare profit and loss and balance reports, as well as other associated reports for auditors.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage outstanding creditors.
  • Manage surplus and deficit charges onto lessee accounts, as well as manage service charge demands.
  • Have strong property management experience, adept knowledge around service charge and ability to step into this role and work independently.
  • Have an analytical mind with excellent attention to detail.
