The Senior Planner – Development Management (Gr H/I)* is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for driving the management of planning applications and development proposals in alignment with local, regional, and national policy frameworks. You will work closely with various stakeholders including developers, community groups, and government agencies to facilitate the successful delivery of projects that enhance the built environment. As a senior member of our planning team, you will provide expert guidance and strategic direction in the assessment of planning applications, ensuring compliance with regulations and contributing to sustainable development practices. This role requires a keen understanding of planning legislation, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex datasets. You will play an essential role in public consultations and will represent the organization at meetings and hearings, advocating for the community's interests while balancing development needs. In addition to managing workloads and deadlines, you will mentor junior planners, share knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development management processes.
