Senior Planner – £70,000 to £85,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

Location: Coalville, East Midlands

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

What You’ll Do
  • Lead on planning and programming across prequalification, tender, and live contract stages.
  • Develop tender programmes, phasing drawings, and method statements to support successful bids.
  • Collaborate with estimators, bid managers, designers, and subcontractors to deliver accurate and compelling solutions.
  • Present proposals to clients and stakeholders with confidence.
  • Support site teams with detailed construction, design, and procurement programmes.
  • Update and review project progress, ensuring programmes remain accurate and compliant.
  • Mentor and support junior staff where required.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques and sequencing.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Asta, Powerproject, or MS Project.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • NEC programme knowledge and lean planning experience.
  • Site-based experience across a range of projects.
  • Relevant CSCS card and safety training.
  • Professional membership (CIOB/ICE) desirable.
  • Experience of 4D planning and early contract involvement is a bonus.
