The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital is looking for an experienced, dynamic and organised Senior Physiotherapist to work within our neuro‑spinal rehabilitation therapy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a hugely reputable organisation and provide the highest standards of care.

Main duties
- Demonstrate leadership within the Therapy department in providing outstanding rehabilitation to patients on an individual and group basis according to agreed goals and objectives.
- Work with the Director of Operations, Clinical Services and wider Executive team to support the development of services within RBH, ensuring the hospital is a leader in rehabilitation services.
- Ensure patients receive the best possible rehabilitation, fostering excellent communication and ensuring consistency between the ward and therapy team.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary working across the hospital and collaborate with colleagues across all departments.
- Support positive team working both internally and externally.
- Provide management support and guidance to the Therapy Department.
- Assist with the development and delivery of training for junior staff.
- Ensure hospital operations comply fully with CQC domains (safe, caring, effective, responsive, well‑led) and other statutory legislation.
- Drive service improvement to enhance patient outcomes and the patient journey experience.
- Support induction, specialist training, and ensure training KPIs are met.
- Follow hospital policies, procedures and SOPs at all times.
- Mentor and manage the therapy team to enable them to carry out their roles in line with the hospital’s aims and integrated values framework.
- Establish effective communication with patients, relatives and significant others to create an open environment for voicing concerns.
- Develop key relationships with external stakeholders to uphold the hospital’s reputation.
- Collaborate with the Admissions and Discharge Coordinator to manage referral and admission/discharge pathways, optimizing occupancy.
- Represent the therapy team at operational meetings to ensure delivery of a coordinated service.
Clinical responsibilities
- Supervise, monitor and evaluate the service delivered to patients, ensuring legal and regulatory standards are adhered to.
- Monitor patients’ journeys through hospital pathways to ensure appropriate service levels are implemented and met.
- Work closely with the Head of Nursing to facilitate integrated patient pathways, including 24‑hour rehab, progress and discharge planning, progress and discharge reports.
- Follow assessment and rehabilitation pathways and collect outcome measure data for individual patients to demonstrate effective treatment and outcomes.
- Assist in patient and relative education in preparation for discharge, ensuring effective therapeutic relationships and maximised outcomes.

Person specification
- HCPC‑qualified.
- Experience in neuro‑spinal rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
