A regional healthcare provider in Billericay is seeking a Band 3-4 Senior Physiotherapy Assistant to join their Integrated Respiratory Team. The role involves supporting patients with respiratory conditions and promoting effective care management. Applicants must have essential qualifications, including an AP qualification and NVQ Level 2 in numeracy and literacy. A vacant post within the Integrated Respiratory Team has arisen in North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) in the area of South West Essex.
The Integrated Respiratory Team is an integrated service with Nursing staff, Specialist Physiotherapists, Assistant Practitioners, Senior Physiotherapy Assistants and Administration staff.
The team covers many aspects of community respiratory care, including Respiratory Case Management, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Home Oxygen Service, Respiratory Virtual Ward, Breathlessness and Diagnostics service (Spirometry and FeNo).
Duties will include supporting aspects of service in each area after training and competency review.
We are a busy, fast‑paced team operating within an ever‑changing landscape of respiratory care. You will receive in‑house training for all aspects of the service and will support all areas of service provision, with opportunities to upskill into nursing and therapy roles.
The post is Monday – Friday 9:00–17:00 and Saturday – Sunday 9:00–17:00, operating on a 4‑week rota basis after training and competency are signed off. Flexibility is required across South West Essex, including travel to clinic locations and home visits.
Travel may be required to cover Thurrock, Basildon, Brentwood, Wickford and Billericay within the Mid‑South Essex area.
Certain respiratory qualifications and courses are mandatory, though the Trust will support you in gaining any required qualifications if not already held at interview. The service actively supports CPD.

High Cost Area Supplement: 5% of basic salary (minimum £1,303 and maximum £2,198 per annum, pro‑rata for part time).
