We are a dynamic global company and our focus is to combine technical leadership in cell culture, microbial fermentation and gene therapies with world class cGMP manufacturing facilities to advance tomorrow’s medicines.

With sites in Billingham & Wilton UK, Hillerod Denmark, North Carolina and Texas USA, the size and breadth of our business will open up huge opportunities for you, whether you want to move to a different role in the UK, relocate, or progress and take on more responsibility.

Our teams are proud to partner with innovative companies reimagining what’s possible in biopharmaceuticals. Every day at FDB is a day for improvement, each challenge is an opportunity for growth, and every moment is a chance to evolve together.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) FUJIFILM Biotechnologies serves a critical purpose in bringing life-impacting therapeutics to patients around the world. Our site in the UK is a key hub among our global, fully integrated, kojoX™ biopharmaceutical manufacturing network. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who can embrace the promise we provide for patients, enhancing access to essential medicines.

We are expanding our People & Culture team to match the fast growth of the FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies (FDB) site in Billingham. We are currently building a new production facility and will continue to grow with increasing number of employees. At the same time, we are becoming more global in the way we organize and work across sites. We are not only building in the UK but also in Denmark and the US making us one of the largest CDMO’s in the world. We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Senior HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team.

Qualifications and Experience

You’ll act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, deeply understanding their objectives, challenges, and workforce needs. You’ll ensure alignment with both local and global People & Culture strategies to drive organizational success as we scale into one of the world’s largest CDMOs.

What You Will Do

  • Lead organisational development initiatives, including org design, capability building, and change management for a rapidly growing, GMP-regulated environment.
  • Drive talent management and succession planning, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain top talent across our UK site and global network.
  • Coach leaders and teams on performance, engagement, feedback culture, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Champion employee engagement and culture-building efforts that make Billingham a fantastic place to work.
  • Use people analytics and insights to inform decisions, measure impact, and continuously improve People & Culture initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation, policies, and GMP-aligned practices, partnering closely with COEs (e.g., Talent, Reward, L&D).
  • Contribute to global People & Culture projects that enhance consistency and excellence across sites (UK, Denmark, US).
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s (or equivalent level) required.
  • CIPD Level 7 (Chartered Status).
  • 7–10+ years’ experience as a People & Culture/HR Business Partner, preferably within manufacturing and engineering environments with GMP exposure.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling organisations, partnering with senior leaders, and delivering complex change in a global, matrix environment.
  • Strong coaching capability, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision making.
  • Passion for our mission to enhance patient access to essential medicines
