General Summary:

The successful role holder will support the EMEA Payroll Manager with day‑to‑day processing and analysis of various EMEA Payrolls. The position reports to the EMEA Payroll Manager based in Cambridge, UK and interacts regularly with the International Payroll team. The role holder will ensure all payroll activities are completed accurately and on time, liaise with external payroll providers and internal team members to handle day‑to‑day queries and manage the resolution of assigned payroll matters.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE 5 DAYS ONSITE IN OUR CAMBRIDGE UK OFFICES

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
  • Associate's degree and 5+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years of work experience (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collate monthly payroll changes from various sources.
  • Input payroll to third-party provider according to set timescales.
  • Check provided output, reconcile gross to net reporting, and produce reporting packs for internal approvals.
  • Support Payroll Audits and preparation of Tax Year End filings.
  • Interact with external payroll providers.
  • Resolve any day-to-day payroll related matters arising with business partners and external providers as necessary.
  • Ad-hoc Payroll Tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
  • Payroll Certification or country equivalent.
  • 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Manager level and above).
Level of Responsibility:
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.
  • Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.
  • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
  • Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.
  • Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).
  • Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
