A leading IT consultancy in Greater London is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer/Cloud Security Engineer to design and maintain robust infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and will work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer/Cloud Security Engineer
• Location: Kensington - Onsite 2 days a week
• Duration: 3 - 6 months
• Rate: £550 - £600 per day (via Umbrella)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in cloud security and advanced Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will have significant experience across infrastructure, networking, and security domains, and be able to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Manage and optimize SQL Server databases, including SSIS packages and DBA tasks.
• Administer Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Entra ID for identity and access management.
• Configure and maintain Exchange environments and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Implement and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions.
• Ensure robust cloud security practices and compliance across Azure environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure networking components and integrate with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Support and maintain SharePoint Online environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient infrastructure solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• SQL Server Administration and SSIS expertise.
• Strong knowledge of AAD, Entra ID, and Exchange.
• Proven experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments.
• Advanced Azure networking skills, including integration with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and SharePoint Online.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results quickly with minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in automation and Scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security standards.
