Overview

Senior Network Engineer (Nexus VXLAN essential) – Remote UK based workers only

Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our global client for Senior Network Engineers with demonstrable experience in the full lifecycle, including requirement gathering, high-level design (HLD), low-level design (LLD), End Of Life, configurations, and deployment. We’re also looking for Senior Engineers who can offer expertise in the design and deployment of LAN / WLAN covering one or more of the following: Aruba WLAN, Infoblox DDIA, and F5 load balancing.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) covering the application of telecoms and network technology deployed across the Group, across all businesses and locations (offices, onshore & offshore plants, etc.) and various project types (capex and IT projects).
  • Participate in larger projects or lead smaller projects, delivering the network elements in the project. Be the key person in the project for all telecom and network elements.
  • Develop detailed designs for portfolio solutions / services & projects.
  • Collect all network and telecom requirements.
  • Work with the design team to produce designs that meet requirements.
  • Develop deployment strategy and lead deployment, including handover to operations; coordinate activities across suppliers, internal teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge sharing and drive continuous improvement across the community.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience across the full lifecycle: requirements gathering, HLD/LLD, End Of Life, configurations, and deployment.
  • Expertise in design and deployment of LAN / WLAN (one or more): Aruba WLAN, Infoblox DDIA, and F5 load balancing.
  • Ability to act as SME for telecoms and network technology deployed across multiple locations and business units.
  • Experience leading projects or delivering network elements within projects; capable of coordinating with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
