Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager – Commercial Refurb Project

Location: Birmingham

Duration: 13 Months

Employment: Permanent or Freelance / Contract

We are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee a large commercial refurbishment project based in Birmingham. This is a 13‑month programme with the option to join on a permanent basis or work freelance / contract.

Responsibilities

• Manage all mechanical packages on a major commercial refurb project
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
• Lead coordination and progress meetings
• Ensure project delivery is on programme, within budget, and to quality standards
• Maintain strong health & safety compliance across all works
• Resolve technical issues and support the project through to handover

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager (Senior level preferred)
• Strong background in commercial refurbishment and building services
• Ability to manage multiple packages and teams
• Good communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Relevant mechanical qualifications (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent)
