Salary Dependant on Experience

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team, to support our Chief Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering Degree, significant experience in HVM/structural engineering, and strong project leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Lead special R&D projects, ensuring successful execution.
  • Oversee project planning, including Fabrication drawings and product installation.
  • Direct and control projects to ensure they meet required standards, timescales, and budgets.
  • Support the commercial team in assessing the market, identifying opportunities for innovation.
  • Estimate costs for initial product review.
  • Provide technical support, including production drawings, general arrangement drawings and Bill of Quantities for infrastructure schemes.
  • Work closely with subcontractors to ensure smooth installation and re–instatement during testing.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, engaging with suppliers to maintain best practice (fabrication).
  • Support and adhere to all health and safety procedures, including accident and near–miss reporting, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Regular engagement with Sales, Supply Chain, and external technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in HVM/structural engineering.
  • Strong project leadership and excellent problem–solving skills.
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
