Overview

Senior Mechanical Engineer - Water Infrastructure (12-Month Contract). Location: Hybrid Working Across UK. Sector: Water & Environmental Engineering. Employment Type: Contract (12 Months). Salary: Day rate.

Responsibilities
  • Lead mechanical design for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors under framework agreements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and develop equipment specifications.
  • Perform site inspections and provide technical recommendations.
  • Support client engagement through proposals and project planning.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3-6 years of experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in the water sector.
  • Strong technical skills in mechanical design and specification.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
