At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. Join us as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at either our Warrington or Leicester sites.

The role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities, applying your process, domain knowledge, and experience.

Day-to-day, you’ll assist in managing the customer relationship, including liaison and development with existing and new clients.

• Ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly identified and applied to activities.
• Contribute to the Project Safety Assessment process.
• Manage communication of task and project risks.
• Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and reports.

This role is full-time, 37 hours per week, based at Warrington or Leicester, with a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).

Essential experience

• Engineering background from any discipline; nuclear experience is not required.
• Experience working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams on various project types.
• Proven ability to handle tasks of varying complexity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent experience with relevant engineering expertise.
