What You’ll Do
- Deliver against client and commercial priorities for Non‑Financial Risk Management (the “Topic”) as Senior Manager – BCG Vantage on the Topic Activation path within BCG's Risk & Compliance (R&C) Practice Area (PA).
- Act in a consulting capacity to case teams and manage assets, intellectual property, tools, and team processes.
- Grow and deploy a team of experts to support client case work, content development, and business‑build initiatives.
- Drive the Intellectual Property (IP)/content agenda for the topic, including building technical tools with support from internal IT colleagues.
- Ensure the team’s performance across key performance indicators (case billability, quality, content creation, etc.).
- Lead the Request Management process, providing a clear internal workflow for case team support.
- Review requests periodically to identify trends and insights that influence team strategy.
- Track the development of all IP across the team, managing the strategy, execution, and delivery of tools.
- Engage with case teams and clients based on individual expertise, demonstrating differentiated impact and value‑add to BCG clients and case teams.
As a Non‑Financial Risk Management Expert
- Familiar with Strategic, Operational, and Compliance & Regulatory Risks affecting resilience, reputation, and value.
- Experienced with risk management processes, including assessment methodologies, risk appetite/tolerance, compliance monitoring, issues management, corrective action plans, controls design/testing, and key risk indicators.
- Technologically savvy, able to interface with technical teams and AI developers; familiar with AI tools in second‑line functions and AI risk management.
- Prepared to support heavily regulated corporates during regulatory scrutiny or transformation.

- Leading problem solving and solutioning for clients, driving pragmatic solutions tailored to the business context.
- Developing and commercializing knowledge and assets such as tools, frameworks, target operating models, and cost‑optimisation scenarios.
- Engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, demonstrating expert presence and credibility.
- Leading projects effectively, mobilising the team to deliver on business priorities and commercial impact.
- Coaching and mentoring; guiding team members to achieve goals efficiently and becoming an ambassador for the team.
- Working autonomously in a fast‑paced, complex environment with ambiguity.
- Staying current in your topic and forward‑thinking about market trends.
- Innovating, ideating, and taking a proactive approach, even when tasks are not directly within scope.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required; senior qualification in risk management (e.g., Level 5 International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management, Certified Risk Professional designation, or Fellow of a Risk Management Institute) preferred.
- 5+ years of consulting experience in non‑financial risk management in financial services and at least one other sector; consulting experience preferred.
- Alternatively, 7+ years of industry experience; 10‑12+ years strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years in a second‑line function (ideally Operational Risk) or a 1.5‑line function focused on operational risk processes.
- Specialization in relevant non‑financial risk management sectors, especially banking.
- Experience coordinating, collecting, and managing workflow processes.
- Fluency in English; additional fluency in German, Spanish, or Italian is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, building trust and a reputation for thoroughness and integrity.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a global team.
- Solid commercial acumen.
