More information re this scheme can be found on our website – link in job description

Under the supervision of the critical care consultants you will assist in the assessment, admission, day‑to‑day management, investigation, practical procedures and final discharge of patients. Senior clinical fellows will be expected to work at the level of a Specialty Registrar, with increased responsibility for assessment and management of unwell patients in the ITU and hospital, and for the supervision of more junior trainees. They will be supported in this by the consultant body.

Some administrative work such as referral letters is part of the usual workload. In addition active participation in audit is expected. Weekly teaching is compulsory unless on night duties or leave is granted, and provision is made for this in the rota.
