A global financial services organization is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for its Global Payment Solutions team in London on a part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality strategic legal advice and support in a hybrid working pattern. Global Legal plays an important role in protecting the Group’s reputation by helping to future‑prove the organisation through robust legal risk and issue advisory. Responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice to senior management and all global businesses and functions, the team offers a diverse range of legal skills, jurisdictional experience and practice specialisms across all countries and territories in which our businesses operate.
We are currently seeking a professional to join the Global Payment Solutions team in the role of Senior Legal Counsel, on a part‑time 12‑month fixed‑term contract, working as part of a job share, with a focus on customer E Channels with banking, corporate, commercial and IT/Digital law concepts. Having a working knowledge of the laws in the major jurisdictions in which HSBC operates would be beneficial but not essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payments/digital lawyer with a curious and commercial mindset, seeking a balanced, flexible role which will entail providing high‑quality strategic advice in a seamless manner with their job share partner.

The base location for this role is London with a hybrid working pattern (working Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to ensure full coverage of the role).
