Senior Legal Counsel | Global Business | Remote/Hybrid | circa £70,000 + excellent benefits

A global business that plays a leading role in supporting key energy, infrastructure and transport projects across the world is looking for a Lawyer to join their supportive, close-knit team.

This opportunity can be home-based, or you are free to attend the office in London or in one of their regional hubs. Therefore, applicants can be based anywhere in the UK.

The Role:

The business is looking for a Construction Lawyer to join their in-house legal team, reporting directly into the Head of Legal.

Working in a small team, you will take a lead role in handling a broad range of contracts and work on various large scale projects, with a focus on transport and offshore wind projects.

You can expect hands-on responsibility in key projects, with oversight from initial tender support through to scheme delivery.

You will also have a good level of influence within the business and work closely with senior management, up to and including the Exec Board.

This position will suit a construction lawyer with experience advising on JCT & NEC contracts, who is looking for an opportunity to join an in-house legal team within a stable and successful company.

About You:
  • You will have a minimum of 3 years of experience drafting, reviewing & negotiating construction contracts (both bespoke, and standard such as JCT and NEC)
  • You will ideally be a UK Qualified Lawyer, but applications are open to those with the requisite skill set who have alternative backgrounds
  • Be a commercially aware individual and comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels
