Senior Land & Estates Surveyor – ScottishPower Renewables
Location: Glasgow, G2 5AD (United Kingdom). Salary: £57,600 per annum plus up to 15% bonus and health cover. Flexible and hybrid working. Posted 4 days ago. Closing date: 21 January.
Responsibilities
- Team support – assist the Land & Estates Manager and Head of Delivery with all matters across the Onshore Delivery Team.
- Land Rights Negotiation – lead and manage negotiations for Heads of Terms and land rights documents with landowners and their representatives, ensuring HOTs templates are up to date.
- Collaboration – work with Legal and Project teams to secure necessary rights.
- Legal Agreement Oversight – review, create and update legal agreements to ensure suitability and compliance.
- Valuation & Specialist Advice – provide land rights valuations and expert input on compulsory purchase, land strategy and technical rights.
- Consistency & Risk Management compression – maintain consistency across projects, update templates and report deviations, identifying and advising on risks with solutions.
- Land KPIs – ensure landassatiner requirements are met on time, identify shortfalls and pursue solutions.
- JV Oversight – ensure rights and obligations are fully understood and transferred across development, construction and operational functions, and manage monitoring and quality assurance procedures for joint venture partners.
hoffe>Due Diligence – input into and complete project due diligence exercises related toφερε acquisition of new renewable projects or entry into new joint ventures.
- Estate Management – ensure adherence with lease terms and property rights, initiate and complete पर्याप्त audits of land right adherence.
- Stakeholder Engagement – act as senior point of contact for landowners and project teams.
- System Management – support Estate Management Team with inputting into LMS (Land Management System) or SAP RE, maintaining land data on MS Lists and Power BI, extracting information and providing detailed reports.
- Financial Obligations – ensure financial obligations are understood and met, liaise with Estate Management for required payments across all stages of transaction.
- Team Development – mentor, guide, assist and train members of the Land & Estates team.
Qualifications
- Degree in a land‑related discipline.
- Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Experience in estates management and acquisition surveying.
- Understanding of the renewables market and technologies.
- Valid driving licence.
