Senior IT Support Engineer

Location: Belfast City Centre, Onsite, M-F, 9-5

Are you a hands‑on IT professional with MSP experience, a passion for solving complex technical challenges and providing an excellent service to your clients? If so, we’re looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join our busy, collaborative team in Belfast. You’ll be the go‑to expert for supporting, maintaining, and optimising our managed IT services infrastructure, driving technical improvements, and mentoring junior engineers.

What you’ll do as a Senior IT Support Engineer

• Act as the senior point of contact for escalated technical issues across our IT platforms.
• Administer, manage, and troubleshoot remote monitoring, automation, and service management tools.
• Develop and implement scripts and automation to enhance monitoring, patching, and reporting.
• Provide advanced remote and on‑site support to clients, ensuring SLAs are consistently met.
• Collaborate with the projects team to deploy management and monitoring components in new environments.
• Mentor junior support staff on best practices and troubleshooting.
• Help maintain technical documentation, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Continuously monitor and improve internal systems and workflows.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in IT support within an MSP environment.
• Hands‑on experience with remote monitoring, IT documentation, and service management tools.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, VBScript, or similar) for automation.
• Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and endpoint management.
• Familiarity with backup solutions, cybersecurity tools, and IT management integrations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or platform‑specific) are a plus.
• UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
