You should have in depth experience of Active Directory, Entra ID, Office365, Hyper-V virtualisation, Clustering, Citrix and Dell and HP server hardware. You should also have Knowledge of SQL, IIS, DNS, DHCP and a sound understanding of networking concepts

Assist and support the IT Infrastructure Manager andother team members in the delivery of Trust IT Server Policies and long-term ITServer Strategic Plan, to ensure a seamless and consistent delivery of IT Services.
Assist in the translation of Trust strategicobjectives and policy decisions into
operational activityand provide feedback to ensure continuous quality improvements.
Maintain awareness ofdeveloping standards and innovations in thearea of
IT Server landscape,and ensure the trust exploit opportunities as necessary to
deliver optimal andcost-effective patient care.
Ensure services aresupported to agreed hours of service to agreedservice levels by participation within the on-call rota. This may requireattendance on site for remedial or planned activities.
Act as an authority and provide specialist knowledgeon IT cloud base server architecture for the Trust and ensure delivery ofassociated IT systems and services.
Input to the IM&T Strategy for security.Developing, structuring and scheduling strategic plans and delivery thereof.
Work with stakeholders to ensure clear definition andagreement of service. In particular, with relation to possible downtime duringpatch management. Ensure these services are delivered and possible downtimecommunicated as necessary.
Conduct and analyses risk assessments as appropriate and advise the Trust on IT systemerrors or security concerns /breaches. Ensure IT Server risks are clearly identified,recorded, communicated and managedappropriately.
When required, liaise with external/third parties toensure the Trusts IT Server Estate is not compromised. With relevance to external
systems or servicesbeing connected to the Trusts network.
Provide guidance and advice as required or requestedby other departments on the procurement of new solutions, systems or servicesto ensure they comply with the Trusts IT Strategic direction and 5-year IT plan.
Work with the Internal specialist teams and Headsof IT Services to ensure the IT systemsand services are affordable and cost effective.
To contribute to the overall development of the Trust, identifying present and futureopportunities, threats and risks in the environment.
Promote effective use of IT systems and services,developing IT server infrastructure awareness and promoting a culture of cloudfirst server adoption.
Be responsible for managing and maintaining thevarious highly complex IT Server systems and services, as well as advising onfuture technologies, research and development.
To provide agreed management reports on areas ofresponsibility as agreed with the IT Infrastructure Manager.
Participate in continued professional development,training and courses as identified ensuring skills and knowledge are kept current.
Provide technical and non-technical guidance on theeffective use of Trust IT Services to staff, as well as helping to resolvecomplex IM&T queries; in addition to this the postholder will also promotethe use of IT department Policies & IT awareness programs.
Identify knowledge gaps, develop and promote an ITCloud first awareness program in conjunction with other departments as required.
Identify and develop quality measures to ensure thehighest levels of service
delivery is achieved.
Carry out projects pertinent to the work of the Trustproducing management information, reports andrecommendations.
Participate in the development and implementation ofhighly complex audit and compliance evaluation techniques and processing,ensuring the highest quality delivery of TrustServices.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and other associatedactivities as appropriate
within the Trust toIdentify, remediate and mitigate risks to the Trust.
Liaise with NHS England, NCSC and other relevant bodies as
required ensuring ITSecurity advisories, directives and notifications are actioned and logged. Thisincludes but is not limited to CareCERT, CiSP, vendor and other specialistthreat intelligence feeds.
Ensure all systems and applications where applicableare kept up to date and
are encompassed inthe patch management routine as detailed in the patch management policy.
Assist with developing and maintaining an IncidentResponse plan and Computer Emergency Response Team in relation to severe ITSecurity incidents.
Take part in activities that lead to personal and/orteam growth. Attend supervision andappraisal sessions with the Line Manager. Take a lead in identifying owndevelopment needs.
Lead on investigating IT Server issues, liaising withother staff and departments or external/third parties as appropriate.
The post holder is expected to work with the minimumof supervision and may be expected to deal with other duties appropriate totheir level and post.
Travel to other Trust sites maybe required on anad-hoc basis, therefore your own vehicle and a full clean UK drivers' licenceis required. Mileage expense is available where appropriate for Trust business.
Assume wider responsibilities as assigned by the ITInfrastructure Manager
