In this dynamic role, you will ensure compliance with housing legislation and engage in property improvement projects. This is a temporary fixed term position from appointment until 31 March 2027. There is potential for this role to be extended beyond this date, and this will be confirmed during the appointment.
Here is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our dynamic Housing & Neighbourhood Improvement Team. This fast-paced role will be at the forefrontof the Council’s housing enforcement activity, ensuring compliance with legislation to drive property improvements.
Applicants will need to be flexible, enthusiastic, and effective team workers, with the ability to work from their own initiative and travel around the District inspecting properties. A knowledge of housing disrepair and the private rented sector, as well as holding or working towards a degree in Environmental Health or other relevant Housing qualification, is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. A secondment appointment is welcome, and candidates should discuss this with their line manager before applying.
