Experience required…

Essential :

Degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant degree with compensatory knowledge, abilities and skills

Full Driving Licence

Proven understanding of highway engineering and design standards, and the ability to translate and communicate these to stakeholders

Substantial understanding of DRMB, MCHW and TSM / TSRGD.

Be confident to work independently, with minimal to no supervision within the team.

Experience in checking and monitoring the work of others as well as providing guidance to junior members of staff.

Specialist in the design process of at least one of these disciplines : pavement, VRS or traffic signs / markings.

Proficient in producing : Specification of Works, Pre-Construction Packs, H&S files, Registers, Risk assessments and Bill of Quantities.

Strong understanding of CDM 2015 and how to identify, eliminate or mitigate health and safety risks and hazards.

Able to attend an office at least 3 times a week.

Have very high standards for quality of work and drawing presentation.

Able to lead meeting with the client, contractors and key stakeholders.

Project Management experience and ability to report back to the client.

Experienced in AutoCAD Civils 3D and 2D.

Able to produce Traffic Signs designs and road markings.

An understanding of the DMRB departure process.

Knowledge of the NEC4 contracts and Compensation Events and Early Warnings.

Desirable :

Previous National Highways experience.
