Job summary

A leading maritime services provider in Clydebank is looking for a Group Accountant to manage and report on financial performance. This role involves preparing consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, and supporting the year-end audit. Qualifications

• Actively studying and near the end of ACCA/CIMA/CA/ACA.
• Trained within a reputable accountancy firm or experience in a similar position.
• Proven experience in group consolidation and multi-entity reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
• Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the group.
• Produce insightful financial analysis, variance commentary, and group-level KPIs.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and process optimisation.

Skills

Professional Accountancy - Full or Part Qualification

Experience in multi-currency and/or international group environment

Advanced Excel skills

Excellent analytical skills

Strong technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education

ACCA/CIMA/CA/ACA near the end

Tools

ERP systems (e.g., Agresso, Sage)

Financial reporting tools

MS Office packages
