Job description
Role Overview

The successful candidate shall be responsible for delivering projects to a high standard, mentoring junior staff, and supporting innovation and continuous development of the team and output. This key role requires close collaboration with the senior members of the team and with technical specialists in other disciplines. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, design and management of ground investigation and monitoring, interpretative reporting including Phase 1 and Phase 2 land contamination assessments, production of remediation strategies, and supervision and validation of remedial works.

Qualifications
  • BSc in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or similar, MSc advantageous
  • Soil/Rock logging to BS5930
  • Knowledge of relevant UK contaminated land and relevant planning legislation and guidelines
  • Experience of designing, supervising and managing geo-environmental site investigations
  • Experience of land contamination assessment - soil, water, ground gas and DQRA
  • Experience in contributing to remedial options appraisals, remedial designs, remedial specifications, and validation reports commensurate with the role and experience
  • Experience of preparing fee proposals for geo-environmental projects
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Chartered or working towards chartership through a professional institution
  • Full driving licence
