Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in a full stack role, ideally within a retail or e-commerce environment.
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs (GraphQL, REST).
  • Hands-on experience deploying serverless functions (AWS Lambda or equivalent).
  • Experience with frontend frameworks (React) or low-code internal tools (e.g., Retool).

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to contribute to our growing and proactive Tech team.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain responsive, high-quality front-end templates using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript.
  • Implement updates across product, collection, and landing pages in line with brand guidelines and commercial priorities.
  • Help to identify and improve site features and maintainability for all team-members.
  • A strong understanding of CI/CD is beneficial as all features need to be rigorously tested, across our suite of regional sites.
  • Identify opportunities for improving conversions, performance, and maintenance for teams interacting with the site.
  • Assist in the rollout of new site features, ensuring clean, maintainable code and responsive cross-device performance.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate mockups into engaging, user-friendly digital experiences.
  • Optimise site performance, page load speeds, and front-end accessibility.
  • Identify and resolve front-end bugs or inconsistencies across browsers and devices.
  • Work alongside tech, design, content, and e-commerce teams to ensure efficient handover and QA of deliverables.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to support team learning and improvement.
  • Stay up to date with Shopify updates, front-end trends, and best practices.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for process automation and systems improvement.
  • Operate with autonomy and play an active role in shaping future technology choices and architectural decisions.
  • Take ownership of new system integrations, including planning, development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Enhance and maintain existing integrations, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Contribute to backend systems engineering, data pipelines, and data warehousing (MongoDB, BigQuery, or similar).
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in a full stack role, ideally within a retail or e-commerce environment.
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Shopify Liquid and experience with Node.js in a commercial environment.
  • Knowledge of SCSS, Bootstrap or Tailwind is desirable.
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs (e.g. GraphQL, REST).
  • Hands-on experience deploying serverless functions (AWS Lambda or equivalent).
  • Comfortable working in Shopify themes, using Git, and collaborating via tools like Figma, Trello, or Jira.
  • Experience working with databases and data platforms such as MongoDB and BigQuery, including querying, data modelling, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks (React) or low-code internal tools (e.g., Retool) and Shopify platform integration/development is an advantage.
