Job summary

A leading mental health service provider is seeking a Senior Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker to deliver mental health care interventions in HMP Bullingdon, Bicester. This full-time role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing quality care to male prisoners. The position offers a salary of £38,682 to £46,580 per year, along with an RSU allowance and numerous benefits, including career development opportunities and 27 days of annual leave.

Qualifications

  • Professional registration is required.
  • Experience of working in the field of criminal justice.
  • Ability to undertake continuing professional development.
  • Valid driving license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality, safe and effective mental health care within the prison.
  • Manage a caseload, triage, assessment, and delivery of evidence-based interventions.
  • Work with primary health care and provide advice to prison staff.
  • Collaborate with external partners including social care and probation services.

Skills

Experience of providing specialist interventions for those with mental health challenges
Experience of managing self harm and associated risks
Experience of developing and delivering group work
Knowledge of forensic care
