A leading utility company in the UK is seeking a Senior Flood Resilience Officer to support flood resilience initiatives. This role involves guiding community engagement, providing expert advice during flood events, and coordinating with agencies to enhance local strategies. Salary (£): Upto £47,000 - depending on experience

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We are looking for a new Senior Community Flooding Officer, to support the Flood Resilience Manager and mentor other officers while leading complex community engagement efforts. You’ll provide expert guidance during flood events and help shape local resilience strategies, bridging frontline operations with strategic planning to ensure communities are informed and empowered.
You’ll proactively engage with customers and stakeholders, promoting flood awareness and practical solutions like SuDS and nature-based approaches. During storm events, you’ll triage incidents, assess flooding impacts, and coordinate with agencies like the Environment Agency to ensure effective response and communication.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll bring proven experience in customer-facing or community engagement roles, with a strong grasp of flood risk management and relevant legislation. Your understanding of Risk Management Authorities and ability to mentor colleagues will be key, alongside (preferably) experience in incident response and Bronze or Silver Incident Training.
