iO are currently partnered with a Bristol based engineering consultancy. Currently on the lookout for a Senior Fire Assessor to join on a permanent basis. This role involves leading the delivery of fire strategies, risk assessments and design stage consultancy services, working with internal and external stakeholders to support safety of critical national infrastructure (substations, power stations, explosive facilities).

This role is ideal for someone who wants to diversify the projects they work on within a consultancy environment, building strong customer relationships and benefiting from growth and development opportunities within the business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of fire strategies, risk assessments and design stage consultancy services.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety of critical national infrastructure (substations, power stations, explosive facilities).
  • Development of fire safety strategies, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Expertise in fire engineering analysis, including smoke and evacuation modelling, temperature spread calculations, and structural assessments.
  • Ability to lead or contribute to design reviews, assessing fire safety risks and proposing practical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, working with clients, architects, and regulatory bodies.
  • Proficiency with advanced computer modelling software for fire dynamics and simulations.
Requirements
  • SOLE BRITISH NATIONAL; happy to undergo SC/DV clearance depending on the project.
