Senior Finance Officer (Belfast)

What You'll Do
  • Lead day-to-day finance operations including budgeting, payroll liaison, and cashflow monitoring.
  • Work closely with an outsourced finance partner to ensure accurate payroll and management accounts.
  • Oversee all ledgers, banking, procurement, and compliance with internal controls and funder requirements.
  • Manage restricted/unrestricted funds, prepare reports for funders, and support funding applications.
  • Supervise and support finance memebers
  • Ensure all financial policies, procedures, and audits are up to date and compliant.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support strategic financial decisions and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in wider organisational activities including training, team development, and governance reporting.
About You
  • You have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance role and hold a relevant finance qualification
  • (or 4+ years of relevant finance experience without a qualification).
  • IATI, ACCA,CIMA
  • Strong experience with purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Confident working with accounting software
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to liaise across teams.
  • Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector
