We are seeking two Senior Finance Managers to join the Financial Reporting and Planning branch. These permanent roles offer the chance to lead either the Corporate Reporting Team or the Financial Planning Team. They are integral to the effective operation of our branch and play a vital role in safeguarding resources for the people of Scotland who need them most.
The Senior Financial Planning Manager role is responsible for leading the annual budget setting process for the organisation, ensuring a balanced budget position is reached. You will also be responsible for the longer‑term financial planning and forecasting for the organisation, providing assurance around financial sustainability. You will also be involved in the coordination of resources and capital commissions to Scottish Government.
The Senior Corporate Reporting Manager leads the production of the Annual Report and Accounts, ensuring the correct application of relevant accounting standards and compliance with the Financial Reporting Manual. You will also lead the ongoing monitoring and reporting of the organisation's operating expenditure, capital and depreciation costs. Through regular engagement with budget holders you will produce accurate in‑year and future year forecasting information and lead on the completion of budget revision exercises.
The successful candidate must be fully CCAB qualified with up‑to‑date Continuing Professional Development. Please include details of your qualifications and CPD in your CV.
