A bit about the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead on Retail profitability and Scratchcard performance providing recommendations for change and optimisation
Whatyou’llbe doing
- Business Partner to the Retail and Product Directors and their Direct Reports.
- Work with Retail leadership team to drive business change and operational efficiencies through end to end P&L accountability.
- Finance Lead supporting Retail Channels & Scratchcard Product team
- Finance lead for Scratchcard strategy, business cases, modelling and PIRs.
- Finance lead for Retail benefit cases including development of business case and post investment review.
- Develop a reporting and governance framework to support business strategic initiatives across Retail & Scratchcards.
- Lead on the consolidation of benefits tracking of business initiatives as identified through P&L optimisation.
- Through thorough analysis and measurement, influence decisions and recommend key areas of focus and improvement. This could include:
- Pricepoint optimisation
- Product Mix recommendations
- Retailer specific trend analysis
- Understand significant cost lines and challenge investment proposals where required.
- Accountable for the input of new Retail & SC initiatives into the planning process.
- Support the Head of Finance with adhoc commercial requests as required
- Work with the analytical teams to develop benefit tracking measurement and robust assumptions for commercial cases
- Upskill the business to understand the Commercial drivers of profitability by channel and work alongside senior leadership to drive change
What experiencewe’relooking for
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- Highly numerate with the ability to analyse, model and interpret data, including large data sets.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to articulate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Commercial awareness and ability to apply this to decision making and recommendations
- Experience in a similar Commercial Finance role preferred.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, data manipulation and financial modelling
- Self-starter with a keen attention to detail and independent thinking
