Senior Finance Business Partner - Operations

• Cambridgeshire
• £70,000 to £80,000 plus generous bonus and car allowance

This is a senior, commercially focused Finance Business Partner role for a post-qualified accountant who wants real influence inside a fast-paced operational environment.

Working closely with Operations Directors and senior site leaders, you will provide forward-looking insight, challenge and influence senior stakeholders, and drive performance across a complex operational cost base. This is not a reporting role, it's about shaping decisions and delivering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead finance partner to a major operational site.
• Own end-to-end operational costs, from P&L through to balance sheet.
• Deliver strategic quarterly insight.
• Lead forecasting, modelling and scenario analysis to support operational decision-making.
• Review and challenge weekly and monthly performance.
• Influence operational strategy with clear, commercial recommendations.
• Manage and develop a small team of part-qualified finance professionals.
• Present financial performance, risks and opportunities to senior leadership.

What We're Looking For

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or similarly high-intensity environments.
• Strong commercial finance or senior business partnering background.
• Confident influencing senior non-finance stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating at pace in a demanding, operational setting.
• Leadership experience or clear potential to step into people management.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP / BI exposure advantageous.
