Overview

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hillingdon to assist with the appointment of a Senior Family Engagement Officer on a 3‑month contract, likely to be extended at client’s discretion. The Senior Family Engagement Officer will engage families at the point of entry to the service, building positive working relationships to support access to local services. The role also provides front‑of‑house management and administrative support within a children's centre, contributing to effective service delivery and community engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Engage and support families accessing children's centre services
  • Manage reception and front‑of‑house operations, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment
  • Handle enquiries via telephone, email, and face‑to‑face contact
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to families and signpost to appropriate services
  • Maintain and update children's centre databases, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Coordinate and administer locality programmes, including ante‑natal services
Qualifications
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
  • Experience working in a busy, multi‑agency or community‑based environment
  • Strong ICT skills with the ability to learn new systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with families and professionals
