Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited university/college and/or relevant equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory requirements (legionella, asbestos, etc) and EHS involved in the management of a complex estate or a similar campus.
  • An excellent communicator who can demonstrate experience of strong leadership skills.
  • Proven years of facilities and operations experience with excellent team leadership and people management experience.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement and ability to deliver process improvements to reduce waste.
  • Project Management experience and qualification to manage major projects and workload planning.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to proactively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise mature decision making.

Responsibilities

Job description
Overview

Senior Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing the maintenance (facilities) team on the Bishops Cleeve site. The site itself is 55 acres and has multiple manufacturing and office facilities. This will be a senior role in a complex environment responsible for delivering multiple service lines to a dynamic environment, combining corporate offices, R&D analytical labs and multiple manufacturing capabilities all within the same campus footprint. The role will be responsible for multi million CAPEX and OPEX plans for a large site in UK.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance and infrastructure team in a dynamic, demanding business environment that combines Corporate Offices with R&D labs and manufacturing/repair facilities within the same campus footprint.
  • Manage critical breakdowns on production equipment and work closely with operations in ensuring production equipment are maintained and ensure strategies in place for lifecycle planning & CAPEX preparation.
  • Day to day implementation and management of soft services to include cleaning, waste management, catering, vending and hospitality services along with landscaping, car parking and related weather monitoring services.
  • Leading on all hard services programs including full subcontractor compliance and performance management and asset control
  • Collaborate with indirect sourcing to closely manage subcontractor services and external suppliers to maintain a safe and efficient facility
  • Deliver a fully compliant and maintain a HPR (highly protected risk status) facility with a consistent level of service by all functions and services throughout the year.
  • Crisis Management (CM) and emergency planning related to all business services for the location engaging with EHS and Security
  • Preparation and accountable for dept budgets for review and agreement to then report upon and manage within agreed strict financial parameters. To produce monthly business reports including budget management accountability and KPI's for the dept.
  • Working closely with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) lead, support stringent standards of work to achieve and maintain levels of safety to the highest standards. Developing and maintaining correct documentation for all activities, leading in safety management ensuring all tasks are correctly executed using correct methods.
  • Engaging and leading on project management including full Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015, managing complex building realignment.
  • Create short- and long-term campus infrastructure strategies to continually evolve the campus, including physical security requirements, hybrid working, sustainability enhancements, production and engineering lab growth, etc.
  • Occasional out of hours working and on call support as required to minimize business disruption
