Senior Estimator - Civil Engineering
Location: London
I'm working with a leading international civil engineering contractor operating across the UK and overseas, specialising in Civil & Structural Engineering, Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling and large-scale Building projects. They are looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to join their established work-winning team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Estimator from a civil engineering background who wants to be part of a high-performing main contractor with a strong project pipeline and long-term career progression.

The Role

• Preparing detailed, accurate and competitive pricing for major civil engineering tenders
• Supporting early contractor involvement (ECI) projects with cost planning and pricing advice
• Working closely with the Bid team to support submission quality and bid strategy
• Reviewing design information, methodologies and assumptions with planning and design teams
• Identifying risks, opportunities and value engineering options during tender stages
• Ensuring compliance with relevant procurement legislation
• Using estimating software packages to develop accurate cost models and proposals
• Liaising with clients, supply chain and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity and competitiveness

Experience Required

• Strong civil engineering background working for a main contractor
• Proven experience preparing tender pricing for complex infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of a wide range of construction methods and techniques
• Understanding of relevant procurement routes and legislation
• Awareness of NEC and other standard forms of contract
• Proficiency with estimating software and strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
