Overview

Cambridge University Hospitals is seeking a Senior Epic Application Analyst to join our team and optimise the patient portal MyChart within our Epic electronic patient record system. You will lead the configuration, development and optimisation of the Trust’s Epic EPR and MyChart to support patients, clinical and administrative functions in line with NHS best practice and operational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team responsible for the configuration, development and optimisation of the Epic EPR system and MyChart portal.
  • Ensure the system supports patients, clinical and administrative workflows effectively; align with NHS standards and operational needs.
  • Manage staff, oversee system design integrity, and lead recruitment, training, appraisals and day-to-day management.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on Epic system capabilities; analyse workflows, manage complex configurations, troubleshoot issues and ensure integration with other departments.
  • Support testing, upgrades and issue resolution; collaborate with clinical and operational teams to develop training strategies that maximise Epic benefits.
  • Take ownership of Epic module design integrity, work with the Design Authority, supervise analysts and optimise workflows with clinical and administrative staff.
  • Document system updates and ensure training materials reflect new developments.
