Overview

Senior Electrical Design Engineer | Salary: GBP50,000 – GBP60,000 DOE | Location: Didcot (OX5)

Pertemps are currently hiring a Controls & Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering team. In this role, you'"ll use AutoCAD Electrical to design panels and schematics for projects ranging from small retrofit camera systems to large industrial automation machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle PLC & controls programming using Allen Bradley and/or Siemens.
• Design and specify control systems, safety and electrical components.
• Produce schematics, layout diagrams, and wiring plans to EU standards.
• Support system integration and commissioning in the UK and overseas.
• Assist with panel wiring, testing, and ongoing system maintenance.

Requirements

• Degree–level qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years\' experience in PLC/HMI programming and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation, control gear, and communication protocols.
• Experience with robotics and machine vision systems.
• Machinery safety knowledge, excellent problem–solving skills, and attention to detail.
