We are currently recruiting for three Senior Early Years Intervention Officers as part of the Early Learning and Childcare Expansion funded by the Scottish Government.
In Edinburgh, this is a relatively new post and offers an excellent opportunity for anyone who has a degree or is working towards a degree qualification within early years.
Senior Early Years Intervention Officers are centrally managed within the Early Years team and then allocated to identified settings to work directly with children. The role includes ongoing high‑quality training to support intervention work, which aims to improve outcomes for our youngest learners.
This post will appeal to practitioners who want to further develop their skills and help close the poverty‑related attainment gap.
Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of three months or more outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
