About the Role

TML Recruitment is partnering with a leading property consultancy to appoint a Director / Senior Director in Business Rates. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on strengthening technical capability within a high‑performing rating team and driving strategic growth across the UK. You will lead a rating team across the North of the UK, overseeing complex rating instructions and providing technical expertise on large‑scale, challenging sites, particularly industrial and specialist properties. This is a business‑critical hire, offering the opportunity to shape the future of the team and influence national strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Deliver expert advice on complex rating matters, including large industrial and multi‑use sites, and act as the go‑to technical authority within the team.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop the Northern Rating Team, ensuring high standards and knowledge transfer, support succession planning, and mentor junior colleagues.
