We are currently supporting a specialist technical consultancy in their search for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their growing Central Government team.

Location & Working Model
  • Work from home or from one of six UK office hubs (including Bristol, Cheltenham, and London)
  • Bi‑weekly travel to London required to meet with customers
The Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and evolving secure and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.

  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure
  • Deploy, scale, and manage Kubernetes clusters (Docker, Helm)
  • Develop automated tools and processes for deployment, monitoring, testing, and maintenance
  • Create and maintain security, compliance, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Optimize systems for high availability, resilience, and cost efficiency
  • Monitor and improve infrastructure/application performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure/application issues
  • Mentor junior DevOps engineers
About You

We’re looking for an experienced engineer with a passion for cloud technologies and automation, who thrives in a collaborative, problem‑solving environment.

  • Essential skills & experience: Terraform and Infrastructure as Code; Configuration Management & Automation; Containers & orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm); Observability tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana.
  • Basic programming skills (any language).
  • CI/CD pipeline development and management experience.
Eligibility Requirements
  • You must be a British citizen who has lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years, in order to qualify for high‑level security clearance.
