Job description

Overview

CRC are looking for a Senior Design Engineer (Electrical) for our client in Croydon. You will need to have previous experience within this sector and be accustomed to managing multiple sites at the same time.

Location and Availability

• Location: Croydon
• Start Date: Soon after Interview
• Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage junior staff and undertake engineering designs
• Provide project management and administration duties
• Monitor design team costs in line with the programme and budget for each project
• Produce designs from initial concept through to completion, including specifications, drawings, schedules and cost estimates
• Manage Clients and team members, and liaise with clients and attend meetings on all project aspects
• Implement company procedures and policies
• Monitor financial aspects of projects and produce budget costings for all services
• Maintain and expand the client base; carry out surveys and produce reports
• Perform quality inspections of projects; on-site project management as required
• Mentor and oversee junior staff; provide Electrical engineering support to all Electrical engineers
• Use software in line with Pinnacle company procedures and formulating Electrical standards within the organisation

Experience

• Experience and knowledge of current Building Regulations
• Working in a consultancy
• Working for a large contractor in a design capacity
• Project management of multi-disciplinary projects
• Producing detailed specifications
• Productions of design calculations both manual and software type
• Production of drawings and markups; production of tender packages
• Carry out tender analysis of returned tender packages
• Production of budget costings for all aspects of services
• Carry out site surveys in various parts of the project; on-site project management
• Production of condition reports
• Management of junior staff; direct client liaison
