Overview

Job reference 333540 – Senior Customer Security Manager London/National Travel. Competitive salary, plus £4,800 Car allowance or £4,300 cash equivalent, private healthcare, 18% annual bonus potential, company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates and generous annual leave offering of 27.5 days, plus bank holidays. Permanent, Full time. Location: Royal Mail Mount Pleasant Mail Centre, Farringdon Road, London, EC1A 1BB. 3 days per week. National travel will be required due to geographical disperse of teams.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Customer Security, you will lead a team of six Customer Security Managers across field and HQ operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Inspire and manage a high-performing team, ensuring delivery against KPIs and operational excellence.
  • Operational Oversight: Take charge of daily field and office operations, risk identification, mitigation strategies, conflict resolution and alignment with business objectives.
  • Strategic Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Commercial Growth: Drive revenue by developing new products and services, managing projects, and aligning your team to support efficiency and growth.
  • Security Compliance: Maintain a secure environment that meets TS STRAP standards and oversee legally compliant documentation, specialist training, and asset management.
  • Expert Advisory: Provide strategic and tactical security advice to commercial teams, supporting tender bids, supplier assurance reviews, and concurrence requests.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to key customers across a variety of sectors supporting contract negotiations and incident management.
